The best ideas are usually generated during the coffee breaks…
Why? You need a trustful environment for people to open up!
In Febuary, colleagues from across TÜV SÜD gathered in Munich to conduct a BarCamp.
The mission: Shaping the future of the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) – TOGETHER. 4 self-organized communities met at the BarCamp to let their networks grow and find good cooperation together
to strenthen the company’s diversity, equity & inclusion network
and to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered.
These self-organized groups have official mandate to get active for and within the company on DEI topics. A great basis to build an open culture and to take actions for an inclusive workplace.
A great format to start such a movement are BarCamps and spaces for exchange as the best ideas are usually generated in the coffee breaks anyway and not in “rigid agenda” workshops.
So back to Febuary’s Get-Together:
Ideas flowed, unexpected connections were made and new members joined the Multi-Culti, prOUT, incluZONE, and Neurospicy ERG networks.
The format of the BarCamp gave us the chance to experience the unexpected and to get surprised along the way.
Colleagues who joined with trust and curiosity brought in their content, following the mission above.
It was an unforgettable, energizing day filled with joy and a great sense of community.
